GUEST POST - Make an Easy Rustic Halloween Garland with Painted Pinecones

Make an Easy Rustic Halloween Garland with Painted PineconesHey guys. Hope you had a wonderful week. Just two months for Halloween and have you started preparing for it? If you want some quick and easy idea to decorate your home this Halloween, then follow along cause Victoria, our Guest Blogger today is going to share with you guys an awesome and super easy DIY Halloween home decor project. I am so happy to have her on-board. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful project with Craftadise readers, Victoria. :) Now, without wasting much time, let's see what Victoria has to share with all of us. Over to Victoria.

Hi! I’m Victoria from Dazzle While Frazzled. I’m happy to be here today on Craftadise sharing with you how to create an easy rustic Halloween garland using painted pinecones. Grab the kids and head outside to scour the yard (or maybe the neighbor’s!) for our main crafting supply – pinecones.

Once they are cleaned (soaked in a water-vinegar bath for 30 minutes followed by baking at 200° for 30 minutes), grab your craft brush and paints to create a quick and easy hand-painted touch of Halloween.

DIY Earring / Hair Clip Display Card for Craft Fair

As promised earlier, I am here with one of the DIY Craft Fair Display ideas. This one is for earrings and hair clips. Instead of placing the earrings or clips on the table, why not make these display cards to make your work stand out and more visible to anyone who crosses your stall. This was the easiest of all the DIY display ideas that I made and it took less than an hour to complete around 20 such cards.

I had so many people coming to the stall just by looking at these. They were so interested on the display and they had an extra close look at it. And yeah, most of them were sold out as well. :)

So without further ado; let's see how it is done.

Free sewing pattern: Fabric Coasters

Free sewing pattern: Fabric Coasters

It's been quite long since I posted a sewing project. This was perfect since I received an order on the same from my friend. I wanted to post on this as it took me approximately less than 2 hours to complete the entire project from cutting the fabric to finishing. It is a great project for beginners learning to sew straight lines and great for ones who want something new and fresh looking for their tables when guests arrive :) So here's a super easy Fabric Coaster pattern.

Artisans Market and DIY Display ideas

Hello everyone. I know its been really long (a month, Again!!! wink ) since my last post. You might be wondering what I was upto this time. As I had already mentioned in my past posts, I had been gearing up for my first ever Artisans Market conducted by By Hand, From the Heart in Chennai on February 5th and 6th. The event is conducted every year where a chosen number of artists and artisans from all over India get to exhibit their wonderful creations. It is a great opportunity for artisans or start-up entrepreneurs or even home-based crafters to showcase their talent and get to meet awesome people.

As this was my debut performance for an event, I was held up with a lot of projects to do, planning the decor and making some DIY displays for my products as well. Here are some of the pictures that was taken during the show and few products that I made for the show.

FEATURED AT RITZ MAGAZINE along with VASHTRA and MONKEYJI

All the display items and backdrop were also made by me. In the next few posts I will be sharing how to easily make your own craft fair display without even having to spend much in both money and time. Next time you plan to put up a stall you can have these in mind.

I must say, that this was a great opportunity to open the doors of Craftadise and have a look at the real world, meet new people and most importantly meet other wonderful artisans. I am really happy to have met artisans from the brand: MonkeyJi, Vasthra, Priyanjoli, Hydes Studio, Love The World Today, Madhubani Motifs,  and many more...  Do visit their website or facebook page to find their awesome work and be sure to buy them :) I have included a few photos of the other stalls that I got to take in some free time I had :) Enjoy :)
